Stacey Steers is known internationally for her process-driven, labor-intensive films comprising thousands of handmade works on paper. Her work employs images appropriated from early cinematic sources, from which she constructs original, lyrical narratives. Stacey’s animated short films have been screened throughout the U.S. and abroad and have received numerous awards. Her work has been featured at the Sundance Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, Locarno International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival, New Directors New Films, New York, MoMA, The Lincoln Center, New York City, and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. 

You are warmly invited to attend the Visiting Artist Lecture Series hosted by the Art Studio program. This talk will take place in the University Art Gallery from noon to 12:50 p.m. and are open to the public.
