Social Science Undergraduate Research Initiative (SSURI)

What is SSURI?

The Social Sciences Undergraduate Research Initiative (SSURI) is designed to engage sophomore and junior SSU students in the "research life" of the university. The program offers financial support for students and faculty to work together on a shared research project. Learn more about SSURI by reading the SSURI 3-Year Report, 2016-2018.

How do I Get Involved?

If you are an SSU undergraduate interested in learning more about SSURI application process, please review the SSURI Application Process for Students, which includes a link to the online application. You can also check out the most recent SSURI projects.

If you are an SSU faculty member with a project needing student research assistants and would like to learn how to get involved with SSURI, please review the SSURI Information for Faculty, which includes a link to the SSURI Learning Contract template.

What if I Have Questions?

If you have questions about SSURI, please contact Heather Smith (smithh@sonoma.edu), Teresa Nguyen (nguyenter@sonoma.edu) or Soo Yeon Yoon (sooyeon.yoon@sonoma.edu).
