Research & Creative Acitivity

The College of Humantities, Social Sciences, and the Arts is home to distinguished authors, acclaimed artists, and cutting-edge researchers. Our faculty and students work locally, nationally, and internationally to contribute to the creative, political, economic, and cultural literacy of our citizens while expanding and preserving knowledge. The school is also a regional center for active social change and human betterment, advocacy, and planning through our strong ties to numerous local community partners. We are proud to offer SSU undergraduates opportunities to engage in social science research through the Social Science Undergraduate Research Initiative (SSURI) and to share their important work with our community through the Social Action Student Symposium (SASSy).
